PRINCIPAL'S NOTE
Mrs Lisa Vandenbosch,
We are very proud of our school and the high standard of education and facilities that are available to our students. It is our strong belief that all students can become lifelong learners and we explicitly teach strategies which provide the tools that enable children to take responsibility for their own learning. The dedicated staff are committed to the schools motto of "Providing an anchor for the future" by focusing on the provision of engaging, authentic learning experiences designed to equip the children with the necessary skills and knowledge, to prosper in our modern and ever-changing world.
We are passionate about creating an environment where the community and school work together to create the best possible outcomes for our children.
We also believe that it is vital that we prepare our students to be active members of their community, now and into the future. We do this through the "You Can Do It" program, which is taught at all grade levels and is the basis of our "social competencies" education program.
The role of Principal at Crib Point Primary School is unique in that I am also the Principal of Perserverance Primary School which is a small rural school on French Island. Each school is independent, however administratively Perseverance Primary School is supported by Crib Point Primary School.
There are also many opportunities for parents to become involved in school life. A role on school council or assisting in the canteen are just two examples of ways for parents to become more involved.
In primary school, children are embarking on the beginning of a journey through their formal education. We believe that through the support of family and the school, this journey can be an exciting and rewarding one.
Please feel free to contact me via the school if you would like any more information.
Regards,
Lisa Vandenbosch
